Great Cooler, but assembly required

This is an excellent cooler -- especially for the price. However, it does require some basic assembly and if you're not handy with a screwdriver, it may prove challenging for some. I drilled pilot holes to ensure that the wood would not split. The instructions are photocopies, so not that clear (which could prove challenging for anyone not familiar with assembling things). I also decided to add cross pieces of cedar to the bottom of the legs so that I could put this cooler on casters. All in all we're very happy with the look and functionality of this cooler.

Great deal

Compared to other stores, this is a solid deal for this cooler. It's a bit of assembly work, but it's straight forward. Can be done by hand, but a drill is much faster. Have had a ton of compliments on it so far My only complaint is that is did leak a bit. We just got some seal and sealed up the inside a bit. Works great not. Keeps ice for a lot longer than I was expecting too

Excellent service. Poor product instructions

Yup. I'm a woman. My husband is working out west. I bought this as a homecoming suprise but nearly ended up tossing it off the patio and dousing it with kerosene.. story to follow... As a woman, I followed the step by step instructions.. #1 cooler is not a toy #2keep packaging material away from child as they are potentially dangerous.etc #3 checked parts list... didn't add up but it was in my favour plus extras #4..err. now actually step 1.. cooler upside down or on its side. (Check. Upside down it is) Step #1 attach leg assembly needs large screw 6 pieces. (Done and done) What they don't tell you is that the legs are different lengths. O.k. I get that. It needs to be able to drain. So like a normal canuck I start trying to level the legs in typical cooler fashion... one of the short ends must be higher. NOPE. as it turns out (pun intended *since you can't use power tools* the front of the cooler is the one to host the high legs and the back is home to the short. It makes sense.
